Improvements
June 1st, 2008
There are some small improvements to announce for dezidr.com.
- We integrated a screen-shot that explains the usage of the decision matrix
- We added a line in the table that shows the highest scoring option, i.e. the winner of your decision process to pick
- We worked on improving the performance by applying several optimisations and by switching to a more powerful technology (Mongrel Servers instead of FastCGI)
We hope that those features improve your experience with dezidr.com. If you miss a feature, let us know!
Going Beta
May 17th, 2008
After several months of testing and reiterating on the overall functionality and design, dezidr.com goes into the beta-phase. The layout of the page has been reworked, the navigation menu uses tabs, fonts and colors have been made consistent. The layout has been tested against the most common browsers (Firefox 2.x, Safari 3.1 and IE7) and been validated against strict XHTML. A style sheet has been added to get also reasonable output when printing out data. We included a privacy statement to provide you details about how your data is stored and used by dezidr.com.
The new release includes a couple of bug-fixes:
- Strange characters in localized resources
- Error when searching for unknown option
- Redirection from www.dezidr.com to unvalid URL
- Changing weight and rating not protected with hash
- Proposing options showed the same results
- Options and criterions could be become too long
In the next weeks, we plan to improve the overall system performance and get insights about how our users work with Dezidr and what they expect for the next versions. We hope to see you soon on dezidr.com and would be happy to get feedback from you.

March 3rd, 2008
Dezidr.com is a simple tool that helps you making decisions. You can compare different options and evaluate them against specific criterions. The concept behind is called Decision Matrix and is used all over the world mainly by managers and decision makers.
I sometimes used it and thought it would be nice to implement it as a web-application and such open up the tool to everybody. A first version is ready now. Just try it out, have some fun, and tell me what you think of it.
